What’s Streaming Now on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO and iTunes
May 4, 2018
Each week we’ll recommend three movies and five TV shows to help you navigate the too-many options on Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, Hulu, HBO, and so on. Here’s what we’re streaming this week, and what you should be streaming, too.
This week, Netflix has a new Adam Sandler movie (with fellow SNL alum Chris Rock), Shia LaBeouf stars in a sports biopic, and there’s an underrated Oscar-nominated gem that you may have missed. Plus: five binge-worthy shows that everyone’s talking about right now.

The Week Of
Nothing brings a family together like a wedding, and writer-director Robert Smigel’s comedy stars Adam Sandler and Chris Rock as two dads whose kids are tying the knot. Rachel Dratch and Steve Buscemi co-star in this Netflix original that proves the moments leading up to matrimony might be more stressful than the happily ever after.
.
Borg vs. McEnroe
Shia LaBeouf stars as the ridiculously skilled (if particularly hot-tempered) tennis player John McEnroe in this biopic from director Janus Metz. Sverrir Gudnason co-stars as Björn Borg, the mild-mannered Swedish tennis champ who served as a willing rival for McEnroe in the 1980 Wimbledon Championships.

The Florida Project
Sean Baker’s gorgeous drama follows the mischievous six-year-old Moonee and her ragtag group of friends as they roam around the budget motels just outside the borders of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. At times both heartwarming and heartbreaking, the film earned Willem Dafoe an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
