The Louvre is Now Offering a Tour Based on Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Music Video

If you watched Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s music video for their single “Apeshit,” shot at Paris’s Louvre Museum, you probably recognized the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, maybe Winged Victory of Samothrace. But did you know Jacques Louis David’s Portrait of Madame Récamier, or Theodore Géricault’s The Raft of the Medusa? If not, the Louvre is ready to offer an education. If you’re a fan of the Carters and art history—and you happen to be in Paris, of course—the museum is presenting Bey and Jay-inspired tours through its galleries. The 90-minute program promises to teach tour-goers more about the works featured in the video.

But if a trip to Paris isn’t in the cards anytime soon, we’ll just have to make do with the online version of the Louvre’s tour. And the Carters’ video itself, of course.
