The Beatles Yesterday Trailer – The Yesterday Trailer Imagines a World Without The Beatles

Imagine a world where “Hey Jude,” or “Eleanor Rigby,” or say… “Yesterday” never existed. And then, on top of all that insanity, you happen to be the only person in the entire world who remembers the Beatles at all. That is exactly what is going on in the Beatles-inspired upcoming summer film, Yesterday.

From the look of things, following a songwriting slump, a man named Jack is hit by a car after a massive global power outage. When he wakes up, he’s the only one who remembers the Beatles. Terrible situation, right? But as a songwriter, he introduces the whole Lennon-McCartney songbook back into the world, but under his own name. He catapults into superstardom, and to be honest, his trajectory doesn’t look a ton different than the Fab Four.

The film features a pretty noteworthy cast that includes newcomer Himesh Patel, Lily James, Kate McKinnon playing a super smarmy label executive, James Corden as James Corden, and Ed Sheehan recommending “Hey Jude” be written as “Hey Dude.” Ed, no.

The film has no official release date yet, but in the meantime, we’re going to go listen to the White Album, be thankful that this film isn’t reality, and continue to actively avoid Across the Universe.
