Star Wars Is Much Better When Ron Howard Narrates It Arrested Development-Style

“Now the story of a family that wants to rule the galaxy, and the one son who had no choice but to save it.”

That’s right. It’s Star Wars: A New Hope, narrated by Ron Howard in the style of Arrested Development.

With Howard directing the upcoming Solo movie, it’s only natural that his uncanny talent as a narrator be used for Star Wars. On Arrested Development, Howard served as the show’s devout omniscient narrator of the show, which included his own non-objective criticism of the Bluth family. For example: “Although George Michael had only gotten to second base, he’d gone in head first, like Pete Rose.”

In Star Wars, Howard applies the same tactic, explaining the Jedi as, “Back home Obi-Wan tells Luke about a religious cult he and Luke’s father belonged to.” Surprisingly, the dysfunctional Skywalker family is pretty similar to the Bluths.

Honestly, if this turns out to be that “remixed” fourth season Netflix is releasing, I’d be happy about that. And if none of it works out, there’s always money in the Mos Eisley Cantina.
