Star Wars’ Adam Driver Hosted Saturday Night Live And Went on Undercover Boss as Kylo Ren

When Adam Driver first hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2016, he appeared in a taped segment that found his Star Wars character Kylo Ren pulling a stint on the reality series Undercover Boss and going incognito at Starkiller Base as Matt the radar technician.

“You get so caught up in restoring the galaxy to its rightful state that you miss what’s going on behind the scenes,” he lamented, before taking a crash course in radar tech, hanging out with Storm Troopers in the break room, and force choking only a smattering of underlings.

Driver returned to the show for his third hosting gig Saturday, and with the last Skywalker film still pretty fresh, the show sent Kylo Ren back undercover—this time, as Randy the intern.

It’s not exactly smooth sailing. One imperial officer (Beck Bennett) chewed Randy out over an incorrect blue milk order, only to wind up with a severe case of a totally exploded brain. Randy also used the force to destroy multiple uncooperative printers.

Kylo Ren almost had a classic, touching Undercover Boss moment when he promoted a fellow intern who had initially been passed over for a pilot job.

“Maybe one of these days you’ll be as good a pilot as Kylo Ren,” he told her.

“Kylo Ren? No, I want to fly like Luke Skywalker,” she replied, earning her a lightsaber to the chest.

“How’d it go? I’d say pretty good,” said Kylo Ren/Randy at the end of his time undercover. “I made four new friends and only killed one of them.”
