Late-Night Hosts Are Campaigning for Trump’s ‘Most Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards’
It’s awards season, and the news will shortly be overwhelmed with red carpet photos, on-stage gaffes, and heartfelt acceptance speeches. Maybe—maybe—there was a chance that we would, for at least a couple minutes, stop paying attention to Donald Trump. But President Trump isn’t one to be overshadowed, so he’s getting in on the awards show action himself.
I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!

Late Night hosts are already campaigning for the honor of being awarded what Stephen Colbert dubbed a “Fakie.” Friday, in a bid for a trophy, The Daily Show took out a full-page ad in The New York Times.

The day before, Stephen Colbert tossed his hat into the ring during The Late Show. The show bought a Times Square billboard and took out an ad on Twitter to court the president’s attention. “I’m hoping to be nominated in all categories,” said Colbert, including “Least Breitbarty,” “Corruptest Fakeness,” and “Smallest Button.”
