Kevin Can Wait Season 2 Episode 13
Here we are. It’s 2018, folks. And it’s a new year and the same old Kevin Can Wait. If you expected the show to return from a holiday hiatus with answers about Donna’s mysterious death, you’re wrong! Instead, Kevin and King of Queens Star Leah Remini once again proved to be completely incompetent and shady business owners. Apparently Nassau County, which has a population of 1.4 million people, is not big enough for two security businesses. All the good security-ing gigs have been going to Nassau Security, which is objectively the better of these two security companies. Its employees are all healthy and attractive. It has better equipment and walkie talkies and vests.
Anyway, as a token of good faith, the owner of Nassau Security brings Kevin some tequila. It all seems chill until Nassau Security starts beating Monkey Fist at every turn. Everyone seems pretty unconcerned that their company has no money in payroll and Rutger, the mysterious Danish giant, can’t even pay his water bill. As it turns out, however, the tequila bottle was bugged and Nassau Security was using it to spy on Monkey Fist. It’s completely unclear why this matters. Clearly Nassau Security is the better of the two businesses and didn’t need to spy in order to get a leg up. Plus, the only information he learned was that King of Queens Star Leah Remini was going to get her haircut.
This isn’t the first time that people on this show used some pretty unethical business practices. Remember when Kevin was posing as a car salesmen? Remember when they trashed a toy store then made Rutger take the fall for the crime? Essentially, what I’ve gathered from these 12 weeks watching Kevin Can Wait is that, instead of explaining the death of a major character, they’re going to repeatedly prove that Kevin and all his dingus friends are not smart enough to run their own businesses. And… Maybe those two things are related? I’ve theorized before that Donna might have died as a direct result of Kevin’s repeated incompetence. I have a feeling that I am really onto something here.
