It Chapter 2 Trailer – The First Look at It 2019 Is Scary As Hell
Growing up comes with a lot of perks—unfortunately, being immune to the things that have scared you all your life isn’t one of them. And that means Pennywise and all his terrifying iterations are coming back for seconds in the new trailer for It: Chapter 2. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise, the horrifying, shape shifting entity that preys on your deepest fears.
The trailer starts with Beverly (Jessica Chastain) returning to her childhood home in Derry, and naturally, Pennywise isn’t far behind. As Mrs. Kersh, the creepy old woman inhabiting the house, says, “No one who dies here, ever really dies.” Oh, good, thanks. The three-minute-long trailer sticks to basically one scene with Mrs. Kersh and Beverly, but it becomes pretty clear that Mrs. Kersh isn’t someone worth trusting either, especially when Beverly clocks that her father worked for the circus… again, good, great, thanks.
The Losers Club reunites for a kickass reunion set in 2016 with a few more notches in their belts. Yeah, you don’t stop being scared, but you find better ways to deal with it. In addition to Chastain, the film stars James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone, and Andy Bean as the adult version of the Losers Club from back when. Don’t worry about the kids though—the film will bounce back and forth between 2016 and 1989 because you’re always a little bit like the person you were as a kid.
It: Chapter Two drops in theaters on September 6, but in the meantime, it’s probably a good idea to keep a safe distance from sewer grates, just in case.
