How To Stream Aretha Franklin’s Funeral
Celebrating the life of Aretha Franklin must be perfect. It must be like the woman herself, like her voice, like her legacy. And that’s exactly what’s planned for Friday, Aug. 31—a funeral that includes performances by Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Fantasia, Shirley Caesar, and many more. It also includes speakers Former President Bill Clinton, Smokey Robinson, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and Cicely Tyson.
It will also, fittingly, include a tribute to her gospel roots, with Marvin Sapp and Vanessa Bell Armstrong. The Aretha Franklin Choir and the Aretha Franklin Celebration Choir. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be streamed live here.
