Bryan Cranston, The Rock React to Kevin Hart’s Car Accident on Social Media

Kevin Hart sustained “major back injuries” during a car crash Sunday, reports CNN. Hart was a passenger in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda at the time of the accident, which allegedly occurred when the driver lost control of the car while taking a turn in Calabasas, California. The vehicle then rolled down an embankment.

Authorities found that the driver, who CBS reports was identified as Jared Black, was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Black also reportedly sustained serious injuries, and both he and Hart were treated in local hospitals. The third person in the car, who was reportedly Black’s fiancé Rebecca Broxterman, sustained only minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

In July, Hart posted a picture of the Plymouth to Instagram, writing that he’d acquired it as a birthday present. “I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th,” he wrote at the time, “welcome home ‘Menace.’”

The actor’s representatives have not yet released a statement about the accident, but People reported that the comedian underwent surgery in the wake of the crash, and is still recovering in the hospital. Paparazzi spoke to Hart’s wife, Eniko, on her way into the hospital, and TMZ released video in which she said that her husband’s spirits are “good” and that he is “going to be just fine.”

Meanwhile, some of the Jumanji star’s famous friends, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Bryan Cranston, and Mindy Kaling, took to social media to offer prayers and well-wishes.
