ABBA Is Reuniting – 30 Photos of ABBA From the 1970s
ABBA became a global phenomenon in 1974 when it won the Eurovision Song Contest for “Waterloo,” which became a smash hit. Over the next eight years, the Swedish pop group consisting of Björn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and Benny Andersson conquered the world and sold hundreds of millions of records. ABBA, which is an acronym for the group members’ first names, disbanded in 1982 when the two married couples that comprised the band broke up, but on Friday they announced the group will reunite to release new music later this year. To celebrate, here’s a look back at the band’s best looks during its heyday.
