Troye Sivan Announces Debut Album ‘WILD’

Troye Sivan has returned to VidCon to make another special announcement for his fans.

Last year, the South African-born Australian YouTube vlogger took to the VidCon main stage to announce his debut EP, ‘TRXYE.‘ Now, he has returned once again to announce the title of what will be his major-label début album ‘WILD.’

The details are still sketchy, but ‘WILD’ is expected to be a 6-track continuation of his earlier EP and serve as an introduction to the rest of the new music he has worked on throughout 2015. It is expected to be released on September 4.

It was recently revealed that Sivan had collaborated with Zedd on the EDM superstar’s latest album ‘True Colors,’ which was released in May. For Sivan’s own album, the YouTube star says he “collaborated with some of my favorite artists ever,” which suggests a few big names like Zedd may be featured when the album drops.

In the video announcing the album, Sivan thanked his fans for their support. They provided the inspiration for him to work hard every day and also allowed his début EP to top the charts in 66 countries around the world when it was released last year; affording him the opportunity to continue doing what he loves with the support of a major record label.

We’ll keep you updated, as Sivan has promised to release more information in the coming weeks.
